KSYSA will continue to update as decisions are made

We know this time away from the pitch is hard for our players and their families and we want to keep you informed. Here is the latest statement from Kansas State Youth Soccer. While it does not offer any concrete answers, it offers assurance that everyone is working towards the same goal of returning to soccer along with all things we normally enjoy as soon as safely possible.

KSYSA Member Admins & Directors of Coaching,

I know everyone is getting questions from many different people in their respective organizations and dealing with information from US Soccer, USYS, leagues they are members of, etc.  We are looking to you to help make sure your members are getting the proper information and help us limit misinformation.  It is my goal to make sure you get the information you need as it becomes available to continue to make the decisions you need to move forward with your organizations during time {sic} of uncertainty.

As I have said before, we just don’t want to make any predictions of when we are going to be back on the field.  The ever changing information we are given from US Youth Soccer, The State of Kansas and local municipalities, makes it hard for us to determine when we are allowed to return to business as usual.

KSYSA will continue to update as decisions are made with regards to the KSYSA State Tournaments and player events (ODP) or what will become of them and the options you have for participation or non-participation in these programs.  We have not deposited any registration fees, seeded teams or formed groups for any of our events.

We continue to receive some ideas from member clubs on how they would like to proceed after the pandemic breaks.  We are continuing to listen to concerns and recommendations of our member clubs, keeping in mind that every member club has a unique set of circumstances they are dealing with at this time.

I want to reiterate, we are working with USYS, United Soccer Coaches and others to provide engagement for clubs during this time of social distancing.  Thank you for all your help in continuing to help with the messaging with your clubs about KSYSA tournaments and programing.  If you have any questions please let me know.

  Yours in Soccer,

Joe Burger, Executive Director

Be well, everyone.
