We're on hold through May 1

Greetings Families,

First and foremost we hope that you are all safe and healthy during this uncertain time.  Please know, as an organization, our first priority is to support our players, their families and our community while we all work through this. We have spent the past week gathering information and talking with officials about any potential in returning to normal activity. Given our current status, and what details we have, here is what I can share at this time.

With regards to the remainder of our spring season, as of Friday 3/20, Heartland has canceled all league games through April 30th. Since most teams only have 6 games remaining,  it is their hope to try and salvage the remainder of the season should we be able to return to play after that date.  In addition, they have canceled both the Spring Cup and Champions Cup tournaments scheduled for late March and April. Due to the most recent “stay at home” order issued by the Douglas County Health Department, all workouts, training and/or social activities remain suspended until 5/1.  While we hope to be back in action soon, we feel strongly that we all need to follow the guidelines in order to get past this and back to a normal routine.  We will be sure to update you as we receive any further information regarding the possibility of a return to our league, tournament and training activities.

With the balance of our season in limbo, we have decided to suspend all upcoming automatic payments and put on hold all outstanding invoice payments at this time.  I have already been in touch with Sports Engine and as of today, we have stopped all auto drafts and any past due invoice notices in the system.  We will address any additional payments, credits or refunds on your accounts at a later date.  Any monies paid into the tournament fund will remain intact until we see what will happen past the 4/30 date.  Heartland is in the process of refunding payments for the two tournaments they already canceled.  If your team has paid for either or both of those, we will hold those funds as a credit on your account until such time that a decision is made on the remainder of the season and/or any alternate tournament events.

This is a very unique situation we find ourselves in.  We want to assure everyone that we will do our very best to navigate this path to the best of our ability and hopefully with the support and understanding of our members. We are in contact with other clubs and both KPSL & KSYSA on what options we may have moving forward and will continue to be as transparent and informative as possible as we receive any additional updates.

Our staff will continue to stay in touch with our players, send out individual workouts and check-in to see how everyone is.  Likewise, please feel free to reach out with any questions and/or concerns you may have.  As always I am available by text, email or phone… please stay healthy and safe.

Cheers!

Joe
