Mini Academy's Spring 2024 Session REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

For Players 6-8 Years Old

The Mini Academy Program will be the last step before entering the Junior or Premier Program, should you choose to take that route. The Mini Academy will include two sessions per week and is a 6-week program with a total of 12 sessions. The first session of each week will focus on a given soccer topic and/or color-coded activities to enhance decision making skills and awareness. The players will also continue working on their speed and agility technique as well as their coordination and strength. Skill work is always a must! The second session of each week will be used for an organized (but unofficial) soccer scrimmage. Upon entering the program, the Mini Academy players will be divided into groups and assigned to a trainer for the rest of the 6 weeks. Teams will train with their coach or in combined groups on Tuesdays then scrimmage against another team during their second weekly session on Thursdays. This in turn will prepare them for the next
step in the BVBIA-GP Club and integrate the player into a game-related environment as they enter a more formal setting. The number of teams formed will depend on the number of enrolled players each season. Please note that during the scrimmages, trainers will encourage the use of skill and enforce the topic of the week. Trainers will often pause the game to enhance these skills or topic.

Spring Season: Every Tuesday and Thursday starting April 2nd and ending on May 9th.

Time is 6:10-7:10pm and the location is TBD

Price is $179 for 12 sessions (camp shirt included)

Please be advised that a cancellation fee of 33% will be assessed for cancellations received before three (3) weeks from the start of the program, regardless of the circumstance. A 50% will be assessed for cancellations received less than three (3) weeks from the start of camp, regardless of the circumstance. Any cancellations received within seven (7) days from the start of camp will forfeit the entire camp fee.

MINI PROGRAM'S 3-TIER OVERVIEW

The BVBIA-Great Plains Mini Program's 3-tier format is designed to not only accommodate beginners no matter which level they choose to join, but also designed to slowly integrate the player and prepare them for the BVBIA-GP Junior Program and finally, the Premier Program. Each stage offers a little more as the player moves through the three levels until the player chooses to join the Junior or Premier Program, typically between the ages of 8-9 years old.  We pride ourselves in not only the format and organization of this program, but also in the experienced staff that is hired for all three levels. Trainers that are hired typically have experience in at least two of the following categories: Premier level coaching experience in the BVBIA-GP Club or other surrounding clubs, prior Mini coaching experience, and soccer playing experience in highly competitive club leagues and/or college level playing experience. These trainers do everything they can to connect with the kiddos and make them feel safe and comfortable in an environment that can be new or challenging for the young player. Furthermore, we continue to find ways to challenge these players while still training the core components of soccer important for these age groups. As the player enters the second and third tier of the program, we also strive to incorporate a lower level of more modern ways of training that come highly recommended in European countries. In addition, other areas pertinent to athleticism are included in most sessions. Finally, my specific role on the field allows me to direct, float, connect, help players that are feeling timid, assist trainers, hype and motivate the players along the way, and make sure everything is running smoothly. With all of this, our unique program style makes us stand out and differentiates us from surrounding clubs. So, come check us out!
